Among offset machines, accounting books and envelopes smelling of mothballs from the author's grandparents, thousands of photographs and hundreds of home movies were found. The images not only revealed a secret profession as amateur filmmakers, but also recounted a series of painful family tragedies that marked the fate of their existence.

He worked as a film editor with directors such as Carlos Carrera or Gabriel Ripstein. A fellow of the Tribeca Film Institute, his debut feature Feral won the FIPRESCI Prize (International Federation of the Cinematographic Press), the competition prize at the Los Cabos International Film Festival and the Best Director awards at RIFF Oslo and Feratum Film Fest.
